Chinese Hood

This modern hood, to fit a saker, has some interesting features, seemingly combining aspects of traditional Eastern and Western designs. Note the unique decorative cut-out leather plate at the rear and tags attached to the Arab-style braces which have characteristic Chinese elements. The topknot combines a Turk's head knot with a horsehair plume, which is both typically Chinese whilst echoing plumes found on Dutch hoods.
