Description: This original antique print was published in 'Payne's Book of Art' (Dresden: 1849-1854).

Artists and Engravers: This plate by A. H. Payne after G. Perlberg. Albert Henry Payne (London 1812 - Leipzig 1902) was a steel engraver, painter and illustrator. Although he was English, he lived in Leipzig from 1839.

Subject: Plate : Frontispiece bearing the title 'Payne's Book of Art', showing a young woman with a falcon. Surrounded by allegorical borders.

Condition: Good. General age related toning and light staining and/or soiling from handling. A few minor spots. Please study scan carefully.

Size (in cm): The overall size is ca. 20 x 27 cm. The image size is ca. 16.5 x 22.5 cm.
Size (in inch): The overall size is ca. 7.9 x 10.6 inch. The image size is ca. 6.5 x 8.9 inch.

Medium: Engraving on a vellin type paper.
