This listing is for an Old Vintage Bohemian Czech Hand Blown Art Glass Ruby Stained Cut to Clear Engraved Oval Shaped Covered Claret Jug Lidded Decanter. Moser / Moser type and could be from Austria or Germany. It is Cased Ruby all-over with only clear Applied Handle and bottom of base.
It has a well done detailed Engraving of a Man (whom I believe to be a Falconer) Riding his Horse while holding his Falcon, the other side has a Falcon alone, both are surrounded by an engraved Wreath. It has a Hinged Pewter Lid and Ground and Polished Pontil on base. Not sure of Maker, any info would be appreciated. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. A few minor small scratches to body (photo 12). No other issues that I can find. Very clean and clear in and out. Please view the photos carefully as they are my main description.
It will be securely packaged and double boxed. It measures 10 7/16" tall to top of handle, 9 3/8" tall to top of lid, 6 1/16" x 4 5/16" at widest parts of body, 4 1/2" handle to spout, 2 3/16" across sides of top rim, and is 3 13/16" x 2 7/8" at the oval base.
